When De Berenkuil opened its doors in 1952, there were around 30 of these Hansel and Gretel cottages. Now there are still two completely renovated cottages, the Blackbird and the Nightingale. This classic holiday home is truly a fairytale retreat in the middle of Drenthe nature.
The cosy Hansel and Gretel cottage has one bedroom containing a double bed and a bunk bed; the lower part of the bunk bed can be folded up to accommodate a camp bed.In addition, the cottage has a kitchen, dining table, microwave, dishwasher, storage space and crockery.The Hansel and Gretel cottages are fully insulated and have underfloor heating.
