About Cuby and the Blizzards

Cuby Museum

The village of Grolloo has a long blues tradition. In the 1960s, Cuby and the Blizzards rented a small farmhouse in the middle of Grolloo. Many legendary Blues records saw the light of day here. For the LP Desolation (1966), the band received an Edison. The 1968 song ‘to the window of my eyes’, still ranks high in the Top 2000.

The little farmhouse in Grolloo is now a C+B museum. Three months after the museum opened, blues legend Harry (Cuby) Muskee died in September 2011 at the age of 67. It currently hosts the Brood & Blizzards exhibition about the period when Herman Brood was still part of the band.
